On a fine, breezy weekend of August 25th and 26th, Tamarang Polo Club hosted 10 teams for its annual tournament.

Saturday's semi finals saw North Star C defeat Scone C in C grade with the match to carry over to Sunday. In B grade Gunnedah B defeated Tamarang B to win the opportunity to play North Star B who defeated Quirindi.  Scone A were far too strong for Tamarang A to see them through to Sunday's final against Gunnedah A who defeated North Star A.

The new extensions to the club house were well christened and for some the B grade losers match came around too soon on Sunday morning. Will Gilmore led the North Star C side of Will, Scott Holcombe, Henry Holcombe and Taya Jones to victory by 10 goals to 8 over Angus Gunn, Nigel Russell, Al Stafford and George Fraser in Scone C. The B grade final between North Star B and Gunnedah B saw The Star side Will Gilmore, Tom David and Andrew Coulton run out strong winners by 7 goals to 1 over Gunnedah B led by Earl Herbert with Russell May, Darren Greentree and Felicity Fraser.

The A grade final was fast and exciting and Scone A (Jim Gunn, Will Lee-Warner, Sam Gunn and Angus Gunn) getting the better of Gunnedah A (Ben Osborne, Mark Barber, Earl Herbert and Bernard Cuskelly) by 8 goals to 5 1/2. 

Tamarang Polo Club hopes all involved enjoyed the weekend and looks forward to the remainder of the season and seeing everyone at Tamarang next year.

The President and Committee of The Tamarang Polo Club invite nominations from clubs and individuals for the Annual Tournament to be held at the Bundella field on the weekend of 25th & 26th August 2012.

A grade to be played over 5 chukkas and B and C grades 4 chukkas .
