The spring tournaments held at Timor Polo club over two weekends were much anticipated and we would like to thank you all for coming out and supporting us. It has been a few years since we have held tournaments in Timor Polo Club and we are happy to be back on the calendar and hope to see you all again next year.

Friendship Cup 0 Goal - 22nd November 2009
The Friendship Cup 21st-22nd November was the hottest weekend for spring so far and somewhat like playing polo in a sauna, so thank you all for still coming out in the sun. Timor Red beat Ilala Stud 10 – 4 ½.

Friendship Cup 4 Goal – 22nd November 2009

Fiola & Lara Labron-Johnson debuted Los Tamaraos pink this year, bringing a ladies team to the Los Tamaraos name and hoping to encourage more girls to get out and have a hit.

Los Tamaraos Gold: 1. Bingham Fitzhenry 2. Jake Zobel 3. Antonio Veloso 4. Royston Murphy

Los Tamaraos won 6 ½ to 6 against Garangula in the Friendship Cup Finals.

Scone Polo Club beat Los Tamaraos Gold 5 – 3 in the subsidiaries.

MVP: Jack Archibald was named most valuable player for the 4 goal.

BPP: Anthony Garcia’s pony “Ardeeba” won best playing pony.

Aguirre Gold Cup 10 goal 28th-29th November 2009

After getting beaten by our good friends of Sydney Polo country Club in the finals of the Bentley Cup two weeks earlier, Los Tamaraos came back to win Gold in the Finals of the Aguirre Gold Cup in Timor winning 14 – 7, it was an exciting match that kept you on the edge of your seat.

Sydney Polo Country Club: 1. Peter Higgins 2. Brodie Donovan 3. Robbie Ballard 4.Lachy Graham

MVP: Ed Goold won a Gold belt buckle for MVP.

BPP: Anthony Garcia’s pony “Ardeeba” won Best playing pony for the second week running.

Subsidiary Finals: A subsidiary final between Bong Bong & Wirragulla was won by Wirragulla 9-4.

Timor Spring Silver Cup 4 goal 28th-29th November 2009

The Timor Spring silver cup was a round robin between Los Tamaraos Pink, Bromelton House and Timor Gold.

Los Tamaraos Pink took the crown with 8 Goals against Bromelton House 7, and Timor Gold 5.

Timor Bronze Cup 0 Goal 28th-29th November 2009

The 0 goal tournaments looked more like 2 & 4 goal it was fantastic playing and great to see the family teams with mother daughter Rebecca & Georgia Higgins for Sydney Polo, Catriona Murphy with husband Royston Murphy and brother Jock Mackay for Wirragulla and also husband & wife duo George & Felicity Fraser bringing their team Ilala Stud.

The round robin was won by Wirragulla winning 7 goals against Sydney Polo 6 and Ilala Stud 3 ½.

Dear Players,

Timor Polo Club invites you to nominate a team in the 6 - 10 goal Aguirre Gold Cup and the 0-2 goal Timor Spring Silver Cup, to be held on the 28th - 29th November 2009.

The 6 - 10 goal grade will be played over 5 chukkas each game and the Chukka fees are set at $20 +GST per player.

The 0 - 2 goal grade will be played over 4 chukkas each game and the chukka fees are set at $20 + GST per player.

Duties for both grades will be: Umpiring and centre table.

Team accommodation & pony agistment.
Get in early to secure your place as spaces are limited.
Lucerne hay can be supplied by us for your convenience during your stay.
