27 teams played at the Hector King Cup Tournament but with some clubs absent playing in the 14 goal polo at Melbourne there were only 4 teams contesting the A Grade for the 10 Goal Championships. Storms threatened but all games were played, mostly in overcast conditons

10 Goal Final final for Hector King Cup
Sydney led all the way to beat Marshall 2-0, 3-1. 6-2. 7-4, 8-5 and 8-7.

10 Goal Subsidiary-final for King Family Trophy
Town & Country 'A' beat Windsor 'A' by 10-8 after the scores were 7-7 and end of the fifth chukka.
Town & Country 'A' comprised H.S. Kelly, R.C. Rawlings. A.M. Williams and B.P. Fahey

Curtis Skene Pony Prize for best Team of 2 ponies played by player 3 goals or less: Won by 1 goaler A.M. White with 'Pleasant' a 10 year old home bred Belltrees mare and 'Melissa' a bay thoroughbred mare.

In the B Grade final Windsor 'B' and Riverlands 'A' drew 4-4 after an extra chukka was played with no change in score.

The C Grade final saw Pitlochry comfortably overcome Pursehouse-Safari by 7-3.

D Grade was won 6.5-3 by Marshall Green over Town & Country C.

The E Grade had been divided into 2 divisions and Assure beat Macquatie 5-3 in one division final and F.H. Polo beat Glenquarry Park 8-2 in the other.

Most Improved Windsor player for the Richard Bray Memorial Prize was awarded to A.F. Tolhurst.

Next weekend will be the Riverlands Annual International Ladies Tournament in which four international women's teams (USA, Europe, New Zealand and Australia) will compete over three days at Windsor Polo Club's grounds (5-7 November). There will also be mixed and men's grades. Spectators are very welcome on all three days and encouraged to come on Sunday, when there will be additional entertainment, including a jousting exhibition.

The 2010 NSWPA Hector King Trophy will bring together Polo Clubs throughout Australia to fight for glory in the highly competitive 10 Goal Club Championship! 6, 2 & 0 goal divisions will also be taking place over the weekend so please join us for some exceptional polo being played in the beautiful surroundings of the Windsor Polo Club! Games will start from 10:00 and there will be a great party at the Clubhouse on the Saturday night –Argentinean dinner, drinks and dancing! The finals will follow on Sunday 31 October! - All Welcome!!

DETAILS

· Dates: Thursday 28th, , Saturday 30th & Finals Sunday 31st October.
· Finals Sunday 31st October – Spectators Welcome! Everyone welcome! Bring your family, friends, colleagues, picnics, rugs, pom poms, and lots of energy, because there will certainly be something to cheer for! Drinks and Lunch can be purchased from the Clubhouse or BYO picnic!
· Location: The Windsor Polo Club. Old Kurrajong Rd, Richmond, NSW, 2753
· Time: Games will start from 10:00 and last game expected to finish at 5:00pm followed by presentation and drinks at the Clubhouse. Draw TBC
· Saturday Night Festivities: The Windsor Polo Clubhouse will host their famous Argentinean dinner, followed by plenty of dancing! Everyone Welcome!
· Cost $: Entry on the day will be $15 per person for non members. Players, Social and Life members of Windsor Polo Club enter free.

Location & Directions
The Windsor Polo Club Grounds are located west of Richmond in the Hawkesbury Valley of NSW, about one hour north-west of Sydney. This scenic region, at the foot of the Blue Mountains, is one of the oldest agricultural regions in NSW and a traditional centre of polo in the State.

Visitors are always welcome for polo matches.

To reach the grounds from Sydney, either:

•Leave the city via the M2 Motorway and Windsor Road. Turn left as you reach Windsor and drive to Richmond. At the turn to Kurrajong, continue along Windsor St and Old Kurrajong Road.;
•take the M7 Motorway to Blacktown and follow Richmond Road to Richmond. Turn right at Market St, Richmond and left into Windsor St and Old Kurrajong Road.
Entry to the Grounds is from Old Kurrajong Rd.
