INFORMATION FOR PLAYERS:

The Easter Show Polo is coming up shortly. As you would know, the Show Polo is an important event in the Australian Polo Calendar. I am writing to you about the format of the Show Polo for 2007.

State of Origin
  • You will note from the above dates, there are four nights of State of Origin.
  • The plan is to select two evenly balanced teams each night (with no regard to a player's birth/residence)
  • The teams would be around 14 goals with typically, a 7 goaler, a 4 goaler & a 3 goaler in each team. In that way 3's & 4's get an opportunity to play with & against better players.
  • The above proposal allows prospective players to commit to the number/s of games taking into account their other polo/work commitments and horse situation.
  • Each player will receive an appearance fee each night played, as set out below:
    7 goalers: $700 per night
    6 goalers: $600 per night
    5 goalers: $500 per night
    4 goalers: $400 per night
    3 goalers: $300 per night
Reserve: $100 per night (Note: must be kitted up & ready to play)
    Umpire: $150 per night
  • Could anyone who is 3 goals & up who is interested in playing please call Joe Curran on 0411 858585.
We look forward to all supporting the RAS Polo.

Regards

JOE CURRAN
