At a NSW Polo Association Board Meeting held on 27 February 2015 a penalty was agreed for any player who plays APF endorsed chukkas or tournament without being registered:

It was noted:
  • It is in the APF Rules of Polo 1(b)(i) ‘no person may play in matches, practice games and chukkas at or conducted by a club affiliated to the APF unless they are a registered member of the APF.’
  • Under the APF Disciplinary Policy, Playing at any affiliated club without having joined a State Association has a suggested penalty attached of One month suspension and/or fine $1000.

It was agreed:
1. It is the responsibility of individual players to ensure they are a registered member of the APF.  NSWPA will send general reminders but not reminders to individual players.
2. To impose a penalty to any player found to have played APF endorsed chukkas or tournament whilst unregistered.
3. The penalty shall be a fine of $500 and suspension from play until the fine is paid and the membership is current.
4. The above penalty is to take immediate effect.
