NSW (Brendan Fahey 2, Kelvin Johnson 5, Andrew Williams 5) vs South Australia (David Marshall 2, Cooch Lynch 4, Sam Hopkinson 6).
Result: NSW won 11 goals to 8.

Saturday 3rd April, 4.40pm INTERNATIONAL GAME, Australia vs New Zealand.

Australia

Result: Australia won 11-5 after a game that saw Australia score 4 goals in quick sucession in the first chukka. New Zealand answered with its first goal at the end of the 1st chukka and a further 4 in the 2nd, however failed to score any further goals and Australia went on to score a further 7.

Result: QLD won 9 goals to 6

Wednesday 7th April, 4.50pm INTERSTATE GAME

Result: QLD won 10 goals to 8.

Friday 9th April, INTERSTATE GAME
QLD (Mark Lillyman 5, Kelvin Johnson 5, Glen Gilmore 7) vs NSW (Rick McCarthy 4, Rob Ballard 5, Andrew Williams 5).
Result: QLD won 10 goals to 8.

Sunday 11th April, 6.25pm, INTERSTATE FINAL
NSW (Mark Lillyman 5, Rob Ballard 5, Andrew Williams 5) vs QLD (Rick McCarthy 4, Kelvin Johnson 5, Glen Gilmore 7).
Result: QLD won 7 goals to 5.

Champion pony (F.L. Bragg Trophy) went to G.A. Gilmore with 17 year old grey pony Salabre lent to him by Mike Fitz-Henry. This pony also was Champion Pony in 2009 when also ridden by Glen.

Champion Team of ponies (Kayuga Cup) was won by K.B. Johnson with Queenie, Squeeze and Hermes lent to Kel by Joe Curran. Hermes had been Champion Pony in 2007 when ridden by Joe Curran and had also been in the Champion team of 3 ponies that year.

The RAS Polo is coming up shortly. There are 8 RAS polo matches to be played between 1st – 11th April which will be played late afternoon & early evening.

Youth Match

There is a Youth Match planned for Thursday 1st April at 3.30pm. We invite players of 21 years and under to nominate. All players must be registered with NSWPA and be responsible for transporting and mounting themselves.

Test Match, Saturday 3rd April, 4.40pm
Australia vs New Zealand. The APC will be selecting a team of 3 plus reserve.

State of Origin
The RAS will host 3 nights of State of Origin. The RAS will be paying an appearance fee to all participants of these games. Teams will be selected by the Handicap Committee. We invite players of 3 goals & above to nominate by 21st March to nsw@australianpolo.com.au or contact Joe Curran on 0411 858585.

Sponsored Games

The RAS will be fielding 3 sponsored games, which will consist of teams with one patron and 2 professionals. It is anticipated that these teams will be around the 10-12 goal level. It is envisaged that the teams will be made up from teams competing in the Morton Cup teams & Kurri Burri tournaments, who have an interest in playing at the RAS.
