The Killarney Polo Club Tournament held on the weekend of 9 & 10 April was hotly contested and a lot of fun for all of the the players who participated.

The A Grade Final saw some truly spectacular play. Killarney congratulates the Marshall Green team on their well deserved and hard earned victory. While it is always difficult to single out individual players for mention, it is impossible not to make special mention of Amanda Tolhurst who was absolutely brilliant. Amanda scored 2 goals and executed some exceptional plays. Similarly, John Prendiville, playing off -2, did his team proud. He was their "not-so-secret weapon". Sam Hopkinson (unsurprisingly) was consistently superb, scoring 6 out of 9 goals. He clearly validated his 6 goal status by leading the Marshall Green team to a sudden death victory in a cliff hanging 6th chukka - while Adam Tolhurst produced his usual magic. Adam was excellent in attack. Adam and David Rothwell each scored 3 goals and kept Sam, Ben, James and John to account right up to the final bell.

All in all, a great day.

C Grade (0 goal): Eden Park (Zoe Kelly, Fraser Potter, Hamish Kelly, Adam Meally) defeated Killarney B (Rob Tresidder, Graham Birrell, Greg Ballard, Tony Ryan ) 9-6
