Re: Northern NSW Spring Polo 2011

The Scone Polo Club is working with Ellerston Polo Club this Spring season to lift the level of polo in the NSW North at a Club level. In association with NSWPA, we have been instrumental in organising five and potentially seven consecutive weekends at which an 8 goal team can play together.

The dates (as per NSWPA calendar) are as follows;

Scone: Dougal Archibald memorial Spring league (8 goal) September 16/17/18
Scone: Carnival (Macintyre Cup) (8 goal) September 24/25
Ellerston: (Archibald/Cudmore ) (8 goal) October 1/2
Ellerston: (Archibald/Cudmore) (8 goal) October 8/9
Scone: Hector King (max 10 goal) October 13/14/15/16

A number of players have shown their interest to play with and pay for a professional player from Sydney or Queensland to make up the team handicap.

We ask all players, 3 goals and above, to contact Dave Bettington (0428 688750) to express their interest in joining a team, detailing their charges for the forthcoming Northern Spring Polo season.

As part of our incentive package to attract better players to the North, we have arranged stabling and horse yards at NO charge, plus billeting with Club member families to help reduce costs for any travelling players.

Our aim is to strike a balance between a reasonable level of polo on reasonable grounds at an affordable price. Your support will make this happen.
