WELLINGTON POLO CLUB TOURNAMENT CANCELLED: 8 & 9 SEPTEMBER 2007

Dear Clubs & Supporters: The Wellington & District Polo Club invite your club to nominate teams to play in our annual tournament to be held on 8th & 9th September.

As with other clubs we will be having 4 & 6 chukka polo, so when nominating could you please state your preference & we shall endeavour to accommodate.

Unfortunately due to a lack of support last year, we were unable to hold our tournament. This was very disappointing for the committee and the members.

Our club needs your support if we are to remain a venue for polo in the country. We cannot pay our rates, affiliation and other bills if we don't have a tournament. If we can't get enough support this year for our tournament then we will be forced to close our doors & ultimately sell our ground.

Our ground fees will be: $200 per team for 6 chukkas & $140 per team for 4 chukkas.

Our ground is looking the best it has for many years now with a really good cover of grass so we are expecting it to play really well.

Lunch will be availabe on both days as well as a BBQ Dinner & full bar on Saturday night & it would be most appreciated if players, grooms and supporters could support our club.
