22 teams competed at the Goulburn Annual Tournament. A great party was held on Saturday night with an Argintinean BBQ provided by Luis Guiance, dancing and roaring fire.

There was a good crowd in attendance, some close finals & perfect weather.

Ashton Cup (A Grade winners)

(Lach Graham, Angus Campbell, Simon Walker, Henry Bell) defeated Wee Jasper Station (Chris Barber, Angus Graham, Sam Gairdner and Sinclair Bell) by 12 goals to 8 1/2.

Gus Cooper Cup (A Grade runners up)
The Table Club
(James Burkitt, Mike McKechnie, Andrew Williams, Julie McIntosh) defeated Mercer and Hobbs (Clemm Mann, Sam Hunt, Corin Gibbs and Andrew Blake-Dyke) by 5 1/2 goals to 3.

Mrs A.R. Maple-Brown Cup (B Grade)
Garangula
(Jim Head, James Shepherd, Shane Martin & Nick Keyte) defeated Jemalong (George Thompson, Ben Sweetland, Cody Forsythe & Alec Thompson) by 7 goals to 4.

Bell Trophy (C Grade) 
Gundaroo
(Dick Rodgers, Graham Osborne, Sam Hunt & Greg Read) defeated Jemalong B (Maddie Shoesmith, Mike de Mestre, Shannon Booth & Steve Barnard) by 4 1/2 goals to 2.

Baird Cup (D Grade)
Goulburn
C (Simon Walker, Angus Esslemont, Bobby Miller & Alejo Suarez) defeated Gundalong B (Lach Graham, Henry Bell, Tom Hoskins & Hanna Hughes) by 6 goals to 2.

Mercer and Hobbs Prize
The most improved player

The attached extracts from the Goulburn 2013 programme providing details of Teams and the Draw and the President's letter relating to social arrangements. The Club has asked us to advise members and guests that alcohol will not be available for sale in the Club House this year and that our Party will also be BYO this year.

Invitational Chukkas Information:

In addition to the tournament, details below, Goulburn Polo Club is calling for individual nominations from registered chukka members or full playing members of the NSWPA. 

You are invited to take part in the GPC Invitational Club Chukkas which are being held next weekend at Goulburn as an adjunct to the Goulburn PC Annual Mothers Day Tournament.  These chukkas are aimed at players -2 to 0 goals with one or 2 horses. (This will allow a player with access to only one horse to play 2 chukkas, subject to horse fitness). A captain will be provided for each team.

Participation fees are $150 per player ($75 if playing only 2 chukkas per

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

Goulburn Polo Club is now calling for nominations for their Mother’s Day Annual Polo tournament. Please call Henry Bell with nominations on 0421 822 125.

Directions
The Goulburn Polo Club fields are precisely where they have been for the last 58 years – to the east of the “Pinea” homestead, located 19 kms south of Goulburn on the Braidwood Road - Look for the Goulburn Polo Club flags at the entrance on your right.

Hospitality
We have arranged a BBQ on Saturday night. It will be a great night and we will start at the end of play on Saturday. If you would like to attend, the cost is only $15 payable on the night.  Unfortunately, there will be no bar available this year so alcohol will be on a bring your own basis.

Snacks, soft drinks and tea and coffee will be available on both days.

Chukka Fees
Chukka fees will be $150 per player for the weekend. Would Team Captains please pay make sure they are paid on Saturday morning. No team may take the field on Sunday unless its fees are paid in full.

It is the responsibility of all players to be registered to play in NSW for insurance purposes. If in doubt about your registration please call Suzie Ruse at NSWPA: 9388 9593 or 0424 243 369.

Duties
We look forward to a successful and happy weekendʼs polo and I know that the tournament committee will greatly appreciate all players performing their scheduled duties.

Entry for non members is $15.00 payable at the gate.
