Results Melbourne Cup Polo

5 teams each 14 goals competed this year in good games sometimes played in very hot conditions at Werribee Park.

Australian captain Glen Gilmore had a very successful tournament playing in the winning team, awarded Most Valuable Playerand winning both Gary White pony prizes for Champion Pony and Champion Team of Ponies.

In the final Sandalford (O. Cudmore, G. Webster, G. Gilmore and P. Prendiville) defeated Garangula by 9-8.

In the subsidiary-final Turtle Island (H. McLachlan, S. McGregor, S Walker and G. McLachlan) defeated Westside 12-4.
