Kurrajong Polo Club held our first ever Polo Tournament on our new field "Kurrajong" at Richmond, NSW on the 11th and 12th of October.

It was a fantastic weekend of polo with 22 teams nominated.
The A grade 10 goal had 5 teams.
These were Millamolong, Bayview, Winten, Marshalls and Sydney Polo Country Club.

Play began on Thursday with SPCC being beaten by Bayview by two goals.
On Friday Millamolong played SPCC and SPCC were defeated again.
This knocked Sydney Polo Country Club out of contention with 2 loses.
Saturdays Play was between Winten who were seeded one in the draw after winning the Hector King the week before and Marshall who were seeded last.
The Marshall team had been strengthened by the imported Ross Ainsley the 5 goaler from NZ and Marshalls Defeated the Winten Team by 2 goals.
Bayview then played Millamolong for a spot in the final against Marshall and it was Millamolong who got through with a one point victory.

Nominations are being called for the Kurrajong Polo Club Tournament:

Good Morning All,

Kurrajong Polo Club will be holding their annual Polo Tournament next weekend the 11th and 12th of October
The A Grade will be 10 goal, the B grade will be 2 to 4 goal and the C grade will be 0 goal.

The A grade will be run on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday if 6 teams nominate.
In the interests of the game we have considered what to do with the large number of 0 goal teams playing at present and to be fair we have an option that may suit.
We will run the 0 goal C grade prelim games late on Thursday afternoon if we get 6 teams or more in the 0 goal. Day light saving will have started by then and it will save teams scoring huge margins to get into a final.

All A grade games will be played on our newly prepared Kurrajong field at triangle lane Richmond with the lower grades being played across the road at Muddy Flats.

Finals will be on the Kurrajong Field on Sunday.

All Nominations or questions can be emailed to me at Adam Buchert [adambuchertpolo@optusnet.com.au] address or by Phone to Ray Bruce on 0401878702.

Please include your Team Name, Handicaps of Players and grade you wish to nominate for in your email.
Chukka fees are to be paid to Ray Bruce before your team takes to the field on Sunday Morning as your game will not start till all fees are paid and a table will be set up at halfway to collect these fees.

Nominations close This Friday Night the 3rd of October 2008
We look forward to your nomination...

Regards

Adam Buchert
