Muddy Flats will be hosting 3 weeks of FUN and AFFORDABLE POLO for players of ALL standards under the guidance of Wal Ashton and Ray Bruce.

Assisting the organisers will be 4 visiting players from the Genghis Khan Polo Club, Mongolia. The Mongolians are exciting players. They bring their own unique brand of horsemanship and playing skills to the field. No matter what your level of play, you will have the opportunity to play with them as well as some of our homegrown rated players in both daily practice chukkas and weekend tournaments. (Please note: There is no obligation to play both tournament days on the weekend – but of course you can if you want to!)

DATES:
Daily Weekend Tournaments: 27 March* 3 & 4 April 10 & 11 April
(*28 March is International Test Match @ Windsor Polo Club – so morning chukkas only will be played on this day)

Practise Chukkas: Daily from 29 March to 9 April - excluding tournament days and Mondays

If you are keen to get into polo at grass roots – or if you want to actively build your skills and all round understanding of the rules and strategy of the game - Muddy Flats is the place to be.

From the outset, we plan to see our players really “getting into the game”…hitting the ball with frequency…riding off effectively and safely…taking the hit-ins and penalties…learning to identify what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. We will be taking no passengers!!! Only enthusiastic players who are dedicated to learning, growing their competencies and having fun in this challenging horse sport we all love, are welcome!!!

Equipment:
· Genuine enthusiasm for playing the sport, both now and into the future
· A suitable level of riding competence
· Hard hat, kneepads, suitable riding boots
· A horse (or two)
· A polo mallet – but we will have a selection available for use at the field

COST:
Weekend Daily Tournaments $50.00 per day (no obligation to play both days – but you can)

Tuesday-Friday Practice Chukkas Free – come as often as you like!!!

If not already a member of a NSWPA Club, you will need to join a NSWPA Club including signing the APC approved Player Participation Deed.
