Hosted at Windsor Polo Club (northwest of Sydney), The Hector King Trophy and Ladies International were run as joint events for the first time, proving to be a great success, with 8 Ladies Teams playing for the Ladies International & UJ Meally Cup and six 8 goal teams playing for coveted Hector King Cup and King Family Trophy.

The eventual winners of the Ladies International were the Aussie Gold team which had a very strong force in Kirstie Otamendi (1), Chloe Warren (0), Marie Louise Eastern (0) and Felicity Fraser (-2).  It was a convincing win against The World Team, which had a mix of local players from Zimbabwe, South Africa, France and Singapore, highlighting the depth and strength of women’s polo in Australia.  The other teams, Aussie Green and The English, also had handy players all of which were strong teams in their own right.

The UJ Meally Cup was made up of ladies who are relatively new to the sport  and many were playing in their first tournament ever.   The teams were Timbucktu, Rio, Paris and Buenos Aires with Timbucktu (Mel Cochrane (-2), Shannon Booth (-1), Zoe Kelly (-1) and Emma Watson (-2) all putting up a great effort to win the tournament.

Most Valuable Player award went to Chloe Warren (from Strathalbyn Polo Club, SA)

The Hector King Cup final was played between Sydney and Coco Republic and Sydney beat Coco Republic by 11 to 5.5
in a convincingly won final - see photo on Gallery page.
SYDNEY - P.G. Higgins, M.D. Otamendi, K.B. Johnson and P.E. Huston

The Subsidiary Final The King Family Trophy, was played between Windsor A and Segenhoe.  Windsor A beat Segenhoe by 7 to 3.
WINDSOR A - D.W. Rothwell, G.B.H. Donovan, A.F. Tolhurst and M.A. Tolhurst
