James’ funeral service will be held on Tuesday 19th August at 2.30pm, at the Gunnedah Crematorium, Wandobah Rd Gunnedah. Afterwards at the Gunnedah Rugby Club also on the Wandobah Rd Gunnedah.

Dear members of the NSW polo community,
I was informed today of the very sad news that James Simson passed away in the early hours of today, Wednesday 13th August having battled with brain cancer for the last 3 1/2 years.
James served as a NSWPA Director for 3 years from Nov 2010 to last October. In his quiet but determined way, he sorted out issues and implemented new procedures particularly in relation to risk management. Nothing was too much trouble for James.
He was a member & office bearer of the Tamarang Polo Club – it is their tournament this weekend.
He never let his illness get in the way of a good trip - he accompanied an international team to India and enjoyed several other overseas adventures.
I’m sure you have many other stories about James.
