Australian Test Players Recognised, and Presentation, 9th April 2017

The Australian Polo Federation has launched a program to recognise players selected to represent Australia in Tests or World Cups.

The initiative will be launched at the Countess of Dudley Cup final with a recognition ceremony of all qualified players.

To be eligible players, must have been selected in the Australian Test team or a World Cup team.

Players, or their family representatives, are invited to a presentation ceremony at lunchtime on Sunday 9th April at Windsor Polo club.

There are 114 eligible players starting with the 1928 test team of Irwin Maple-Brown and Bill, Knox and Tom Ross, that competed against the British Army team.

Irwin Maple-Brown, as captain, has been given the number 1 Test Cap number and each player subsequently selected for Australia, their sequential cap number.

The list includes all players selected to represent Australia at test level or in the World Cup, right through to the most recently capped player Jasper White, at number 114.

The APF and NSWPA will be contacting the eligible players or their families in the coming weeks to invite a representative to attend the function.
