Kim Coulton writes about Goondiwindi August 15 & 16: Some horse accommodation available but also try Goondiwindi show grounds or contact Kim for saleyards.  Plenty of pubs and motels in town.  Saturday will once again be the “huge crowd” day with spectators attending from near and far. There will be awards for best dressed lady and man, a Saturdays players player award, foot racing and plenty more action with a bar and food stalls(done by local committees) , dancing, live music beside the now famous bonfire.  Gate proceeds from the day will go towards the Royal Flying Doctor.  There will be no entrance fee for players and grooms and no ground fees a rarity these days! Come and enjoy the best of country hospitality with free morning tea both days with lots of home cooked goodies.

Lots of silverware up for grabs each weekend.

We are lucky enough to have Ellerston attending again so there will also be a mid week Border Cup game to be held at this stage at Morella.
