The tournament was a huge success with perfect Autumn weather and 13 teams in the tournament. On Saturday we had about 800 spectators. It was a big event with helicopter rides, vintage car rally, lots of kids activities, a car vs horse race sponsored by Volvo (won by the Volvo, beat Craig Wilson on a Wal Ashton horse), and a horse race (James Ashton Pony Express) won by Richard Curran (2nd place Dick Richardson, 3rd place James Darmody).
A grade (6-goal) won by Springdale (Richard Connell -2, Richard Curran 0, Tom Hunt 4, Guy Kirkpatrick 4). Beat Millamolong (Andrew Ashton 1, A Jones -1, Craig Wilson 6, Wal Ashton 0) by 8 goals to 5.
B grade (6 goal) won by Goulburn Red (Chris Barber -1, Sinclair Bell 1, Ed Archibald 4, Henry Bell 2). Beat Goulburn Blue (Brad 1, Richard Maple-Brown 1, Gus Campbell 3, Greg Reid 1 ) by 9 goals to 7.
C Grade (0 goal) won by Millamolong (Richard Connell -2, George Thompson -1, Eugene Marais 1, Anthony Old -1). Beat Garangula (Dennis Warner/Kevin Gibbs -2, Emma Harvey -2, Nick Keyte 1, Andrew Ashton 1) by 61/2 goals to 2.

If your idea of a perfect day is a good glass of wine, great food, dust on your boots and the pounding of hooves down a wide green field – then venture to the fields of Millamolong Polo Club for the Polo Carnival on April 30.
