SQUAD ANNOUNCED & COLTS VICTORIES: FIP IX World Polo Championships Squad, Windsor International 14 goal & 4 goal Colts

Congratulations to the Australian FIP IX WPC Squad selected:

3 goal players Zac Hagedoorn, Sam Gunn
2 goal players: Alec White & Jasper White.

The final squad of 6 to travel to Malaysia will be selected in May.

The Windsor squad selected to play at the International Polo Test Match at Windsor on 27th March is: Dirk Gould 5, Kelvin Johnson 5, Ed Goold 4, Jock Mackay 4, Zac Hagedoorn 3, and Alec White 2. Captain TBA.

Congratulations are also due to the Australian Colts Team who won all three of their matches whilst on tour in NZ in February pictured on the photo accompanying this News. They beat the South Island Colts on 2nd February, New Zealand Colts on 4th February at Wanstead and a 5 v 8 Victory over the NZ Colts at Kihi Kihi New Zealand International Day on 12th February. Well done to all the team - we are very proud of you.

FIP IX World Polo Championships Squad – Windsor International 14g – Windsor International 4 – 6g Colts


The Australian Polo Council is calling for nominations from players 1g to 5g who wish to be considered for the FIP IX World Polo Championships squad. Nominating players should not have held a handicap higher than 5 goals – for further eligibility information please contact Joe Curran 0411 858585.

The FIP IX World Polo Championships are to be held in Malaysia 11th – 25th June with matches 14th – 25th June. Six players will be selected from the squad to compete in Malaysia.

Windsor Polo Club will host an Australia v New Zealand 14g International match played under FIP WPC conditions on 27th March 2011. The team will be selected from the FIP WPC squad. Players should be able to mount themselves for this match and also be available for selection for the FIP 9th World Polo Championship playoffs in Malaysia in June 2011. It would be appreciated if players could nominate whether they are able to supply any horses for visiting players. There will be also be an opportunity for a 14g squad team to play in the Ellerston 14g leading up to this match, and participate in the 3 a side AUS v NZ RAS show polo on 23rd April 2011.

Windsor International 6g Colts – March 2011

The Australian Polo Council has invited New Zealand to field a 6g colt’s team to compete in the curtain raiser match at the Windsor International at Windsor Polo Club on the 27th March 2011. We are calling for nominations from players 0g – 3g, aged under 21 at 01/01/2011 who wish to be considered for selection in the Australian representative colts’ team. Nominating players should be able to mount themselves for this match. It would be appreciated if players could nominate whether they are able to supply any horses for visiting players.
