Autumn Festival of Polo


Message from The President, Mr Peter White

The 2024 Autumn Festival of Polo is fast approaching. The Festival of Polo incorporates several significant events, with the main flagship event, the ORD MINNETT Polo International and the open handicapped Morton Cup.

During the festival and in addition to hosting International guests from India and New Zealand, we anticipate up to 40 teams playing, comprising of six (6) Morton Cup teams, Ten (10) goal teams, and twenty (20+), Four to Zero goal teams. There's always plenty of polo to see.

On 4 April from 6.30pm, The Festival will kick off at The Royal Richmond Hotel with Welcome Drinks and shirt presentation.     

On Sunday the 7 April, the ORD MINNETT Polo International sees India play Australia at Windsor Polo Club and we have the honour of hostingHH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur. He will join his team, who will also play at the Royal Easter Show on Good Friday on 29 March at 4:30pm in the Main Arena.

During the ORD MINNETT Polo International, there will be the Women’s Polo International, which see's Australia taking on New Zealand and an Under 21 NSW Juniors Match, where NSW Blue will take on NSW Navy. 

The ORD MINNETT Polo International is a ticketed event, so please pre-purchase your tickets, prior to the event.  Apart from General Admission tickets, you could opt for a carboot picnic on the eastern side or take the shady option under the trees on the western side.

Long time sponsor, The Classic Safari Company will raffle off a Luxury Safari to India valued at $24,000.  This will OCCUR over the Festival of Polo period with all raffle proceeds will be used to improve the clubhouse infrastructure at the Windsor Polo Club.  Please support the raffle as improved facilities at Windsor Polo Club are a benefit to all within the NSWPA community.

During the period there will also be a Polo Art Exhibition on inside the Windsor Polo Club House (7-14 April).  Evert Ploeg, an Archibald prize winner, will present a body of works captured in and around the polo field. Friends of polo and fellow artists, Rosie Wingrove, Adam Humphrey’s Sculpture and Holly Gavin will also be show-casing their works.
