RESULTS: BMW International Series SOUTH AFRICA August 2011

2nd game: The Australian Team had a second victory over South Africa, winning the BMW International Series match in Johannesburg on 21st August. They beat South Africa 9 v 7 infront of a crowd of 5,000 spectators. Best Playing Pony was Ocean played by Matt Grimes and Most Valuable Player was Rob Ballard.

1st game: Australia defeated South Africa 6 goals to 5 in a rain affected field in Durban on 14th August.

The team was:

The Most Valuable Player was Andrew Williams.

Best Playing Pony was 'Onyx' loaned by Rory Twort and played by Andrew Williams

The Australian Polo Council has been invited to send an Australian Representative Team to South Africa for two 20 - 21 goal BMW International Series Test Matches to be played on 14th August 2011 in Durban & 21st August 2011 in Johannesburg.

Horses, accommodation, flights, insurance and team clothing will be provided.

The APC is calling for nominations from players with a handicap of 4 goals and above, who would like to be considered for selection in the Australian Representative Test Team.

Nominations close Friday 3rd June 2011 at 5pm.
