The annual polo tournament of the Wirragulla Polo Club, “The PrydesEasifeed Hunter Polo Challenge”, was held in perfect weather on Saturday & Sunday October 22/23 at the Club’s ground at Tabbil Creek, Dungog.

Results of the Finals –
A grade, Mackay Cup. Timor / Sandleford 8 ½ goals defeated Ellerston 8 goals.
B grade, Alison Cup. Sandleford 7 ½ goals defeated Scone A 5 goals.
C grade, Skene Cup. Timor B 5 ½ goals defeated Wirragulla C 4 goals.

Most Valuable Player, Tom Biem, Ellerston received the trophy donated by Myne Signs and Engraving, Mt. Thorley.

Best Team of 3 Playing Ponies
A grade - Tex Webster , Timor / Sandleford .
B grade – Kirsty Sullivan, Scone A.

Novice Pony from Wirragulla Club awarded to Beau Blundell’s “ Matilda”, trophy donated by Essential Equine Dentistry.

Champion Pony from Wirragulla Club awarded to Nick Clague’s “Sundance”.

Best Australian Stock Horse awarded to Jeremy Metcalf’s “Ponderosa Tennessee” , Ellerston Club.

Wirragulla Polo Club invites individuals and clubs to nominate for the "Pryde’s EasiFeed Hunter Polo Challenge" to be held at our Tabill Creek ground at Dungog on 22rd and 23th October 2011.

There will be four trophies played for over the weekend consisting of:
A Grade Mackay Cup 5 Chukka’s (10 Goal limit)
B Grade Alison Cup 4 Chukka’s (6 Goal limit)
C Grade Skene Cup 4 Chukka’s (4 Goal limit)
D Grade Club Trophy 4 Chukka’s (0 Goal Limit)

Playing fee’s for the weekend, $320.00 (GST Inclusive) per team.
Nominations will be accepted individually or on a team basis for all grades.

As it has been in the past, proceeds from our polo weekend will be directed to the Wirragulla Polo Club’s chosen charity, The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Your support to make this a successful weekend will be greatly appreciated.

Full bar and catering facilities will be available over the whole weekend and a dinner and live music will take place on Saturday night at the ground, starting at 7pm. This will be a night not to be missed with guest International Entertainer Craig Taylor performing live. Those wishing to attend the dinner, please forward your reservations to s.jmartn@bigpond.net.au.

This year Wirragulla Polo Club will also have a children’s amusement area with a jumping castle, face painting and pony rides for the kids to enjoy, and allow their parents to relax and watch some exciting and fast polo.
