Dear Secretary,
On behalf of the President & committee of the Wellington & District Polo Club we would like to invite your club to nominate teams to play in our annual tournament to be held on the 6th & 7th of September.
As with other clubs we are will be having 4 & 6 chukka polo, so when nominating could you please state your preference & we shall endeavour to accommodate.

Unfortunately due to EI last year we were unable to hold our tournament & the year before that we didn’t run due to a lack of support from other clubs & players. This was very disappointing for the committee and the members.
Our club needs your support if we are to remain a venue for polo in the country.
We cannot pay our rates, affiliation & other bills if we don’t have a tournament.
If we can’t get enough support this year for our tournament then we will be forced to close our doors & ultimately sell our ground.

Our ground fees will be : $200 per team for 6 chukkas & $140 per team for 4 chukkas.
Our ground is looking the best it has for many years now after having a good rest & with a really good cover of grass so we are expecting it to play really well.
Lunch will be available both days as well as a BBQ dinner & full bar on Saturday night and it would be most appreciated if players , grooms & supporters could support our club.

Please contact one of the above numbers if you require any assistance with accommodation or stabling for our tournament.

Looking forward to seeing you here.
Regards

Jenny Barton
Secretary
