SCONE POLO SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 27, 28, 29
The Scone Polo School was held this week with over 40 kids participating. Anto White & Glen Gilmore led the coaching and were supported by Alec White, Jack Archibald, Tex Webster, Ross Ainsley – just a few big names in polo! Kids ranged in age from 10 – 18 and were graded over the three days, spending time with their individual coaches in the morning for drills and coaching and then the afternoons playing coached chukkas. Every single kid improved their game in a huge way over the three days. It was wonderful to watch the final day and see the joy and pride from all participants playing in front of the coaches and parents.
We also had another layer of excitement with a team from the South Island of NZ fly over and take part in the school. They had a ball and loved the experience and many new friendships were forged. We will be reciprocating in sending a team selected from the school to go over and play in the South Island in December. A squad has been selected and from there five players will be sent over. Congratulations to the following players who were selected in the squad: Harry Warner, Lucas Grimes, Blake Grimes, Tom Parry-Okeden , James Parry-Okeden & Jasper Webster. Squad photo above.
A huge shout out to Charch and Noddy Warner, Anto and Glen & their helpers for the organisation and feeding a cast of thousands over the three days. Thank you also to the many who lent horses to the NZ kids. It was a superb school, very welcoming and warm and full of fantastic kids.

On September 27, 28, 29 the Scone Polo School will be running in Scone.
Players will spend the morning with coaches running through skills sessions. In the afternoon players will play coached chukkas.
The cost is $90 and if you are not a registered player with NSWPA, you must pay the additional $33 APF fee to cover insurance.
The Scone Polo School, you need to be a minimim of 10 years of age
Riders must be proficient (ride single handed and able to hold a mallet)
