Garangula Mulhall Memorial Trophy 2025 and Autumn 8 Goal Draws


The Schwarzenbach family and Garangula are looking forward to welcoming everyone to  Garangula next week for the Mulhall Memorial Trophy and Autumn 8 Goal tournaments.

How the tournaments will work:

The Mulhall Memorial Trophy:

  • Each team will play three league games. At the conclusion of the league stage, the top four teams across both League A and Group 1 will progress to the main semifinals. Teams finishing 5th to 8th will play in the sub-semifinals, while teams finishing 9th and 10th will compete in a 9th/10th playoff.
  • The teams winning the four semifinals will advance to finals day for the Sub and Main Final, playing a total of five games. All other teams will play four games. The Order of Merit will be determined using Australian Rules of Polo.
  • If a Penalty Shoot-Out is required, it will take place on Thursday, March 27th morning. Games are scheduled for six chukkas unless specified otherwise in the draw.

The Autumn 8 Goal

  • Each team will play three league games. At the conclusion of the league stages, the top four teams will progress to the semifinals, while teams placed 5th and 6th will compete in a 5th/6th playoff.
  • The winning teams from the semifinals will advance to the main final, and the losing teams will move on to the sub-final. Therefore, teams ranked 1st to 4th will participate in a total of five games, whereas teams placed 5th and 6th will have a total of four games. The Order of Merit for the Semi Finals will be determined following Australian Rules of Polo.
  • If a Penalty Shoot-Out is necessary, it will occur on the morning of Friday, March 28th. The matches are scheduled to be played over four chukkas
